This book was a compelling read, despite it having been produced in the 60s and using the old tone system that I find annoying Modern Greek reader book read. The selection of classic Modern Greek authors and texts is still very good by today's standards, and the vocabulary annotations were usually on spot/5.
There are dialogue sections in Greek and English, and question sections for each reading. Included are over two thousand vocabulary words and a Greek to English and English to Greek dictionary. The Modern Greek reader has become the standard for serious students in homes, high schools and universities worldwide/5(10).
